SRWM The Drummer

Profile picture for "The Drummer," from my friend Ali's metaconcept of the western comics series Planetary created by Warren Ellis and John Cassaday.

Her version of Planetary sort of serves as the game's "Banpresto Original," giving the heroes a central organization to rally around and a solid thematic center.

Obviously, there are also robots in her version, with the team piloting a four-part combiner that amplifies their natural abilities.

I didn't really base the style here on anything in particular, just pretty much how I'd draw the characters to be adapted for a cel-based medium.

Clearly, this is not the actual Drummer from the comic, but rather, his several-generations-down-the-line descendant. The idea was to convert the "idea" of the Drummer the way that a Japanese adaptation of a Western property might be inclined to. (In this case, by making him a cute girl.)
